Is Caboki right for me?

Will Caboki work if I’m completely bald?

Caboki works by clinging to the hair you already have, so it needs at least some hair in the area you want to treat. If you have thinning hair, a widening part, fine “peach fuzz,” or a receding area with hair still present, Caboki can make it look dramatically fuller in seconds. If a section of your scalp is fully bald with no hair to grab onto, Caboki won’t have anything to bond to there — so we don’t recommend it for completely bald areas.

Does Caboki regrow hair or treat hair loss?

No. Caboki is a cosmetic hair-thickening product, not a hair-loss treatment. It doesn’t grow new hair — it coats and clings to your existing strands, instantly making thinning areas look fuller and denser. If you’re also pursuing regrowth, you can use Caboki alongside a topical treatment like minoxidil (see “Can I use Caboki with minoxidil?” below).

Does Caboki work for women?

Yes. Caboki is just as effective for women as for men — roughly half of our customers are women. It’s especially popular for thinning along the part line, a widening part, and overall diffuse thinning.

Does Caboki work on my hair type?

Caboki works on virtually every hair type and style: straight, wavy, curly, coily, 4C, kinky, braided, frizzy, fine, coarse, colored, highlighted, frosted, or gray. It also works on vellus hair — the fine, lighter “peach fuzz” common in thinning areas. If you’d like to see results on hair like yours, browse our customer reviews and photos, which cover a wide range of hair types and textures.

How Caboki works

Will people be able to tell I’m using Caboki?

No. Applied correctly, the result looks completely natural — even up close, outdoors, or under bright light. Caboki isn’t a paint-style spray or powder that sits on top of your hair; its fine fibers blend into your own strands so the effect reads as fuller hair, not a product. Caboki is even used on set by professionals, because high-definition cameras that capture the finest pores and wrinkles still can’t distinguish Caboki-enhanced hair from the real thing.

How is Caboki different from other hair fiber products?

It comes down to what Caboki is made of. Most fiber products use fibers derived from animal fur, which can bring two common complaints: scalp irritation and color shift — taking on a greenish cast when you sweat. Caboki was developed to solve both. Instead of ingredients from animal, Caboki uses fibers from a natural plant — a Moroccan variety of cotton — colored with natural mineral pigments. The fibers are extremely light and skin-friendly, and because the colorants are mineral-based rather than dye-based, they're colorfast: they won't bleed or shift color when wet. (See "Will Caboki run or change color when I sweat?" below.)

Applying Caboki

Is Caboki easy to apply by myself?

Yes — it’s designed to be quick and simple to do on your own. For best results, dry and style your hair first, then apply Caboki to the thinning areas and gently pat into place.

How long does it take to apply?

About as long as it takes to brush your teeth.

Can I comb or style my hair after applying?

Yes. For best results, style your hair before applying Caboki. Afterward you can still shape it with a wide-tooth comb or simply pat it into place with your fingers — think of it as shaping rather than fine grooming.

Can I use Caboki with minoxidil or other topical treatments?

Yes. Apply your minoxidil (or other topical) first and let your scalp dry completely, then apply Caboki on top.

Can I use hairspray, gel, or mousse?

Yes, with the right order:

  • Hairspray — apply after Caboki to lock everything in place.
  • Gel — let it dry before applying Caboki.
  • Mousse — let it dry before applying Caboki.

Staying power & everyday life

Will Caboki fall out or rub off during the day?

No. Once applied, Caboki bonds securely to your hair and stays in place throughout the day. It holds up to normal activity, wind, light rain, and sweat far better than ordinary powder-style products.

Is Caboki resistant to wind, rain, and sweat?

Yes. The bond between the fibers and your hair is strong enough to withstand gusty wind, light rain, and perspiration. (We have a short demonstration video on this — link it here.)

Will Caboki run or change color when I sweat?

No. Caboki’s color comes from natural mineral pigments that are colorfast — they won’t dissolve, bleed, or shift color when they get wet or when you sweat. Some fiber products are colored with water-soluble dyes that can run and, on certain shades, take on a greenish cast as the dye breaks down. Because Caboki’s colorants are mineral-based rather than dye-based, you won’t get that effect — the fibers stay put and stay true to color until you wash them out.

Does Caboki stain my scalp, skin, clothes, or bed linens?

No. Caboki fibers are 100% colorfast and won’t stain your scalp, clothes, or bedding. If a few fibers happen to drop onto a surface, just dust or brush them off.

Can I sleep in Caboki or wear a hat or helmet?

Caboki stays put through normal wear, including under hats. Because the fibers are colorfast, they won’t stain a pillowcase. As with any hair product, heavy rubbing on a pillow overnight or under a tight helmet can dislodge some fibers, so you may want a quick touch-up in the morning or after removing a helmet.

How long does one application last?

One application stays in place for days — until you wash your hair with shampoo.

How do I remove Caboki?

Just shampoo as usual. No special shampoo and no hard scrubbing required — it rinses out cleanly with regular washing.

Ingredients & safety

What is Caboki made of?

Just two ingredients:

  1. Plant fibers extracted from Gossypium herbaceum, a variety of cotton (also called Levant cotton) grown in the arid regions of Morocco.
  2. Natural mineral colorants, used to match your hair color.

Is Caboki natural and safe for sensitive scalps?

Yes. Because Caboki is made only from natural plant fibers and natural minerals, it’s hypoallergenic — even very sensitive scalps are typically comfortable with it.

Is Caboki a hair dye? Will it color my hair?

No. Caboki is not a dye and won’t color your hair. It’s made of tiny fibers that cling to your existing strands to thicken them. The color you see is the fibers themselves, not dyed hair.

Is Caboki vegan and cruelty-free?

Caboki is made from plant-based cotton fibers and natural minerals.

Choosing your color

How do I choose the right color?

Stand in front of a mirror and look at the color of your hair at the root in the thinning area — that’s the color you want to match.

What if I have salt-and-pepper or highlighted hair?

Match the darker root color. For example, if your natural color is dark brown with some gray or highlights mixed in, choose Dark Brown.

What if my color falls between two shades?

If your hair doesn’t match any single shade exactly, we recommend ordering the two closest colors and applying both to blend a custom match.

Can Caboki cover gray roots?

Yes. Caboki is ideal for covering gray roots as well as color-treated regrowth at the roots.

Ordering, shipping & returns

How long does one bottle last?

It depends on the size of the area you’re treating, but on average:

  • 16 g: 25–40 days

That works out to roughly 50 cents per application.

Yes. The Caboki bottle itself carries no indication of what it’s for, and orders ship in plain, unmarked boxes or envelopes — no one needs to know what’s inside. Printed instructions are tucked inside, and you can keep or discard them.

Do you ship to PO boxes?

Yes. We ship to PO boxes via the Postal Service.
